This follows a global research study commissioned by M-Files, the intelligent information management company.

The trend has been drastically changing, and website visitors are today more influenced by paid adverts that lead them to specific sites. It means that organizations are finding it difficult to generate organic traffic as more money goes to influential campaigns. This notwithstanding, it is still possible to make organic traffic and while at it convert some of your web visitors to customers.
San Mateo, December 05, 2018 - Over a year on from the European Commission’s antitrust ruling which forced Google to open up its shopping service to outside competitors, new Searchmetrics research suggests a third of ads within Google Shopping boxes are coming from providers other than Google. But the majority of these (23% of all ads) seem to be from digital marketing agencies profiting from Google Shopping’s revamped auction model. Only around 9% are from the traditional comparison shopping sites (CSSs) that the EU’s ruling was originally intended to support.

Consumers are growing more comfortable buying fashion items on their phones reveals new Black Friday and Cyber Monday data from AI-powered retail personalisation platform, Nosto. And for fashion retailers, Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2018 were 36% bigger than last year.
Nosto’s analysis of millions of visits to fashion sites globally suggests mobile accounted for 71% of traffic and 56% of sales revenue (up from 64% of traffic and 50% of sales revenue in 2017) on the two holiday shopping days. Conversion rates are also up on mobile phones from 1.98% last year to 2.28% in 2018.

While 64 per cent of mainframers are aware that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now available to control access to mainframe applications, only 20 per cent acknowledge their organization is already using it or plans to do so, according to a new survey. Concerns about disrupting applications, lack of mainframe and security skills and resistance from end users are some of the issues holding back adoption.
The findings come from a new poll of 81 mainframe users conducted by Macro 4, a division of UNICOM® Global, at the annual GSE UK Conference in November 2018.
