Peak season staff squeeze: 44% of retail leaders fear they don’t have enough staff to cope with next ecommerce rush

London, 18th July, 2022: 44% of retail leaders say they don’t have enough staff to support the upcoming peak season, and need to staff up. That’s according to new data from Delivery Experience Platform Sorted, which found that retail customer service and operations managers believe they are understaffed for the upcoming ecommerce rush, with 52% fearing service levels will drop as a result.

The majority of employees wish their workspace was quieter, survey reveals

London, UK; Monday 11 July: The majority of employees wish their working space is quieter than it is now. That’s according to a poll by IRIS Clarity, the AI-powered voice isolation app, which surveyed UK and US respondents on their attitudes towards office noise.

Seventy-one percent of respondents wish their working space was quieter than it is now. This is more prevalent in the UK (79%) compared to in the US (63%).

Over half of small companies aren’t taking any precautions against a possible Russian cyber attack

New research from Databarracks has revealed that 58% of small companies (less than 50 employees) were not taking any precautions against a possible Russian cyber attack.

The findings are from Databarracks’ 2022 Data Health Check survey of 400 IT decision makers. This year’s survey focused on themes of Ransomware, Cyber, Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.

Barnaby Mote, Managing Director of Databarracks, commented “The current risk of cyber attack is high. All organizations, regardless of size, should be taking extra precautions to protect their data.”

By comparison, only 19% of large organizations (500+ employees) surveyed said they weren’t taking any precautions.

Ransomware volume already doubled 2021 total by end of Q1 2022 says WatchGuard Threat Lab Report

28 June 2022 – Ransomware detections in the first quarter of this year doubled the total volume reported for 2021, according to the latest quarterly Internet Security Report from the WatchGuard Threat Lab. Researchers also found that the Emotet botnet came back in a big way, the infamous Log4Shell vulnerability tripled its attack efforts and malicious cryptomining activity increased.
