TERMINALFOUR, a digital marketing and web content management platform has a long history of serving the higher education community. This week they announced the results of its 2017 Global Higher Education Survey. The results highlight significant concerns among higher education institutions about student recruitment targets due to proposed visa/travel restrictions.  In a survey of 391 higher education professionals from 333 unique higher education institutions, 56% stated that travel restrictions will directly impact their institution’s ability to meet recruitment targets.

Enterprise Resource Planning in the Cloud

LONDON — December 2015. A survey commissioned by Hitachi Solutions Europe has recently revealed that 31 percent of organizations have moved all or part of their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to the Cloud, or are in the process of doing so. The survey questioned 315 senior finance professionals with the aim of understanding their position and perceptions around ERP in the Cloud.

At this time 69 percent of respondents have not moved their ERP systems to the Cloud, but 44 percent said they would consider moving to the Cloud in the future. Of that 44 percent, two thirds (67 percent) said they would contemplate moving in the next two years.

Lara Thynne, a PhD candidate at Deakin University Australia, is running a survey to be used in examining the motivation of open source users when it comes to participating in open source projects and using open source software. Ms. Thynne's difficulty is that she is needing around 1500 completed surveys and hasn't quite connected with the open source communities to "get the job done".
