20 December 2022: CREST, the global not-for-profit community of cyber security businesses and professionals working to keep our information safe in a digital world, today launches a new report into Security Operations Centres (SOCs).

The CREST “What is a Security Operations Centre?” guide is a chance for everyone with an interest in cybersecurity to gain a better understanding of what a SOC is, what it does, and the different types of security operations centres.

The report is one of several produced by the organisation to help build capacity and consistency in the cyber security industry, aimed at companies and individuals who need to understand the growing importance of a SOC in an organisation.

Netwrix Study: 86% of Cloud Attacks in Healthcare Result in Damages and Financial Losses

SaaS Data Was the Target of 51% of Ransomware Attacks in the Last 12 Months

SAN FRANCISCO - September 27, 2022 - Odaseva, the leading enterprise data protection platform for Salesforce, today released the findings of a global survey that shows that organizations are largely unprepared for ransomware attacks on their data stored in SaaS platforms. Attacks on SaaS data are an increasingly common cybersecurity target, and they succeed in encrypting SaaS data half the time, leaving only half of the victims able to fully recover. The majority of financial services professionals are only ‘somewhat confident’ in their anti-money laundering procedures

London, UK; 6th September 2022: The majority (57%) of financial services professionals are only ‘somewhat confident’ in their anti-money laundering procedures. That’s according to a survey from anti-money laundering tech scaleup, First AML, which surveyed 200 financial services professionals across the UK.

The survey found that 52% of respondents have identified an instance of money laundering in the last year, with 23% identifying more than one. Anti-money laundering is also moving up the company agenda at almost three quarters (73%) of financial services companies.
