Vivitek Adds NovoCast To Popular NovoConnect Family

Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, February 13, 2018 - A new era of presentation flexibility comes to smaller classrooms and teaching spaces thanks to Vivitek’s introduction of NovoCast. It joins Vivitek’s popular NovoConnect hardware solutions - NovoPro and NovoEnterprise. NovoCast brings wireless presenting to improve participation, collaboration and idea sharing between students and teachers, while making for more engaging and memorable lessons for up to eight participants.

With NovoCast, anyone in a classroom that’s using the system can connect to a projector or flat panel display and instantly share content and collaborate to the main screen wirelessly, without having to rely on the school network. NovoCast enables teachers and students to connect from tablets, phones or laptops using WiFi; so whether it’s a teacher delivering a lesson, explaining the study goals for the week, or students sharing homework results with their fellow classmates, connecting and sharing content is quick and simple.

As NovoCast is a wireless presentation system designed and based on the principle of BYOD, anyone can connect and share content using the Windows, Mac, Android, iOS or Chromebook device of their choice. This flexibility helps make teaching and learning accessible to all students, irrespective of their chosen device. NovoCast also has an impressive quad-view display which simultaneously shows content from up to four participants, taking visual interaction and BYOD in education to the next level.

Knowing that teachers have little time to waste fumbling around with cables, NovoCast’s full wireless operation and support for content sharing enables teachers to get lessons up and running quickly. This keeps students engaged from the moment the lesson starts, while preventing the sort of disruption that often occurs when lessons are delayed.

Once lessons are up and running, NovoCast’s innovative moderator and content preview functionalities enable students to participate easily and naturally in the discussion, while giving the teacher full control over the content that is displayed. This prevents any inappropriate material being displayed during the lesson, along with any unpleasant surprises for both teachers and students.

Conscious that education institutions of all sizes are carefully managing tight budgets, NovoCast is supplied with free software upgrades and as there’s no license fee, it makes large scale implementations possible with no hidden costs.

Commenting on the launch of NovoCast, Holger Graeff, General Manager, Vivitek EMEA, said: “The classroom, teaching, and indeed student’s expectations, are all changing. Digital content ranging from social media, video and other online resources are as fundamental to teaching now as the blackboard used to be. With NovoCast, we’ve made it easier for teachers in smaller classrooms to bring together and share digital content in a simple, cost effective way that drives a better learning and teaching experience for all lesson participants.”
