Telerik Announces Sitefinity CMS Integration with PayPal Payments Standard and WorldPay

Integration Ensures an Added Layer of Security with PCI DSS Compliance for Millions of Web Interactions Daily

Waltham, MA – November 12, 2013 – Telerik® today announced its Sitefinity® CMS platform now integrates with PayPal Payments Standard and WorldPay.  Serving more than 70,000 users that account for millions of website interactions daily, this update comes just in time to accommodate the business holiday shopping season, offering an added layer of security by using PCI DSS compliant payment vendors.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is the global data security standard adopted by the major payment card brands for organizations that process, store or transmit cardholder data. Being PCI DSS compliant is an advantage to any online retailer, as it demonstrates an added layer of security for those looking to make online purchases by taking the purchase out of the retailer site, and sending it to an external site where sensitive payment data is collected and safely stored.

“Savvy online buyers do not want to have to type their credit card information into a website for each and every purchase, not when there are tools such as PayPal and WorldPay available. They want a point and click experience that they know is backed by the highest security standards,” said Martin Kirov, Executive Vice President, Sitefinity division, Telerik. “Having the Sitefinity CMS integrated with the two industry leading external payment providers gives our customers the options they’re looking for, which in turn will increase their sales as they enter the busiest time of year.”

Shop.org is projecting online holiday sales will rise between 13 and 15 percent over last year, to as much as $82 billion. Just in time for the major influx of online purchasing, Telerik’s integration of its Sitefinity CMS with PayPal Payments Standard and WorldPay brings added benefit to its expansive customer base by offering payment system options that follow online payment best security practices. PayPal Payments Standard allows for worldwide merchant registration and supports e-wallet payments as well as one-time credit/debit card payments. WorldPay supports merchant registrations from more than 40 countries and allows buyers to pay for online transactions using credit cards, debit cards and bank transfers.

“Security conscious online buyers want to know their transactions are safe and they are free from issues such as fraud and identity theft. Through our integration with PayPal Payments Standard and WorldPay, we’re giving our customers easier payment options for their end-users, and the satisfaction of knowing transactions are conducted in a safe and secure manner,” continued Kirov.
